Q: 1967 Mustang Coupe V8 – Did they make that year in white with red interior 3 speed?
Do you know of any web sight I can see the different interior and exterior colors.

Something like this

500 made with exterior in white and exterior in red
2,000 made green exterior with green interior….

Anything out there like that?????

I’m trying to find a 1967 White Mustang V8 with bright Red interior – coupe or convertible – 3 speed.

A: yourwarranty plate would read color m=wimbleton white trim 2D=red trans 1=3spd manual

Q: How much can the cost be to replace a floor pan of a 1967 Mustang?
I have a 1967 Mustang and was wondering How much the cost would be if the whole floor pan was replaced? How much would you say the price for it would be i just dont want to get ripped off?.
the whole floor is either rusted or had holes in it..
the whole floor is either rusted or had holes in it..

A: Wow…. normally just the lowest parts are bad and replaced. Figure $200.00 each for the part and replacment if you are lucky, figure $1,200.00 for all four if you aren’t. If the whole pan needs replaced, I would look for a different car to start on.

Q: what parts do i need to make my car have a fast acceleration? i have a 1967 mustang. please list all the parts?
i want to make my 1967 mustang to accelerate faster like 0-to 60 in a very fast time not really top speed just acceleration…. please help?

A: Anything less than 30-40 mile in my car, and i will light up the tyres. it’s a 69 mach 1 with 351 windsor. Here a list of what i did to a standard bottom end, which you could do to a 289 or 302.
Big cam
alloy manifold
600 Holley
headers and 2.5 inch pipes (dual)
Electronic ignition
double row timing chain
roller rockers and guide plates
high volume oil pump
high volume fuel pump
3000 stall (if auto)
3.89 diff ratio

This was with standard port heads too, which are holding my motor back right now. With a bigger set of heads, you’d get even more, but by that time you’ll ned to rebuild the bottom end of the motor, since it will be making more power than it can really handle. That’s why i haven’t upgraded heads yet. Still, my combo is expected to be good for low 13’s or even high 12’s if tuned right, and getting decent traction.

Talk to an engine shop/cam supplier, and tell them you are thinking of a combo with these parts, and he will recommend the biggest and most suitable cam for you.

A: Keep the car, offer the guy $1500 for the boat. I bet he won’t take the price. Find out what he really wants for his boat — that car is worth more.

I’ve owned a boat. It’s a hole in the water that you dump money into, you’ll never get it back. I was so happy the day I sold it. I’ve never been happy the days I’ve sold my Mustangs.

Keep the car….

Q: Can you use the 1967 mustang v6 spindles,with a v8 and disc brake 1967 mustang,if so what type.?
i have a 1967 mustang that came with a v6, i am installing a 302. The car had drum brakes and i am upgrading those to disc. Can i use the v6 spindles with disc brakes?

A: well call or go to a auto parts store and ask them or get a chilton book and it will tell you every thing about your car that can and can’t be used

Q: fow to fill a hole in the body of a 1967 mustang?
i have a 1967 mustang and there is some rust on it, and on one spot there is a out a 3 inch wide hole.

how would i be able to fill/fix it?

A: inexpensive but temporarily effective solution: buy some bondo and spread it over the holes. Best permanent solution: take it to a body shop.

Q: 1967 mustang was given to me with no title?
A family member gave me a 1967 mustang. The car was his but titled to an ex-girlfriend. So he doesn’t know where she is but has this car sitting in a barn waiting for me to pick it up. I would like the car but I don’t want to take ownership and put me into a car that belongs to someone else. I reside in Kentucky and he resides in Pennsylvania.

A: Your family member had no business giving you a car that he does not own. In the USA, The only way you will ever be able to title, register, insure, own, sell or drive it is if you first get a title from that ex girlfriend who is apparently the owner and then when you have that title, properly filled out by the ex (the “seller”), get everything put into your name

Q: 1967 mustang brakes went out on me what is a rough idea of what it will need and cost to fix?
My brakes completely went out on me while I was driving, I was trying to brake and my car wouldnt stop, I was pumping the brakes and it was like nothing the pedal just went straight to the floor. I would like some ideas as to what is the problem and estimate the cost for repairs?

Thanks

1967 mustang coupe (289)

A: I’m a ford lover from way back.Your driving a classic.Spare no expence. You must fisrt find the problem. It could be a wheel cylinder,a broken line,or the master cyliner. If you can do the work your self, all new parts would be your best option. If your on a budget just fix what broke. If it is a line though, replace all of them. All the parts including shoes, spring kits.hoses, lines, wheel cyls., hoses, bleeders, and master cyl. can be purchased new for less than $500 bucks.Do it right, and don’tforget to have the drums turned and checked for run out.

Q: Does a 1967 mustang convertable coupe have A/C and heat?
I’m looking to buy a 1967 mustang coupe convertible and I found one I like. I want to seem like I know a lot about the car so that this guy doesn’t rip me off. So I need to know if it has heating and air or one and not the other?
Also if there are a few places (on the hood and trunk) where the paint is chipping how much it would cost to get that fixed.

A: they come with heaters, but AC was optional, so it may or maynot have it..the main thing to look for is rust underneath and in the trunk..if the rust is severe these unibodies can break in half…

tops are a expensive repair, so it’s a plus if it’s in good shape..

Q: How hard is it to do an engine swap on a 1967 mustang?
I bought a 67 ford mustang with a 351 cu in Cleveland engine. How hard would it be to take it out and drop in a mustang straight six that i have? Would it require any crazy modification or wiring or something like that…
About how much will it cost?

A: Some one put the work into transplanting the 351 into your 67 that never came with Cleveland’s. To do this transplant right required front springs, spindles, brakes, cooling system, motor mounts, trans, cross-member and trans mount, drive shaft and matching yokes, rear axle and leaf springs.

so reverse the process.

Q: Is it normal for an old car (1967 Mustang) to squeak while driving it?
I am looking to buy a 1967 Mustang, and while test driving one today, it made squeaking noises over each bump or dip in the road. Is this because it is metal and old? Or is this a problem with suspension or something else? Also, how far down should the brake pedal go before I start to feel the brakes working? (no power brakes on this car)

A: lol, yeah, the old Fords’ A-arm bushings always squeak.
They used to make a bushing kit that came with zerk fittings for the ball joints and upper A-arm bushings… You can probably still find them.

For the brakes;
There are self-adjusters on the rear brakes that are supposed to keep the rear brakes adjusted.
When you are backing up and hit the brakes there is a star wheel on a threaded shaft that turns and adjusts the rear brakes shoes out. Sometimes the threaded shaft gets rusted and the self-adjusters won’t work. If there’s excessive play in the pedal it’s possible that the self adjusters aren’t working on the rear brakes. It’s kinda hard to say how far the pedal should go down.. the non-assisted brakes should feel the same as any other brakes (as far as pedal movement) they just take a bit more pressure to apply. If I had to guess, I’d say an inch of free-play and no more than 3″ to -3 1/2 inches of total travel. If they feel spongy, look in the master cylinder and see if the brake fluid looks dirty… If so, it may need new wheel cylinders or a new master cylinder… Any brake work that needs to be done on those drum brakes is pretty easy to do and since a lot of the Fford vehicles used the same brake components the parts are reasonably inexpensive and easy to find.

Q: I have always wanted a 1967 shelby mustang gt-500, are there any good kit car versions?
I have looked far and wide and have not found a thing, endless kits for AC Cobras and the like just never a complete kit for a 1967 SHelby Mustang GT-500. Need help!!!

A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – carinsurance.yoll.net

Q: Does anyone know where I can find a 1967 Mustang Shelby GT 500 Model Car?
My husband is looking for a 67 Mustang Shelby GT 500 model car. He wants it to be unfinished ( he wants to put it together and pain it himself) He also wants it to be the plastic kind, not metal. I have found cars on ebay but they are either metal or already put together and painted. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!!
I’m thinking maybe they didn’t make the plastic kind you can build yourself. Anyone know?

A: ToysRus..
